Google have made their old 2001 search index available as part of their 10th Anniversary celebrations. Check out some of your favourite websites from the past! They’re only making it available for a month though so check it out before the end of October 2008.

Google have officially announced their new Chrome web browser. Yet another browser for web developers to test in! Sounds like they’re keeping it open source and strictly conforming to web standards which sounds promising anyway.

Mozilla who receive money from Google to help fund the continuing development of Firefox don’t sound too worried by the appearance of Chrome. But will be interesting to see if Google’s support for Firefox waivers slightly over the coming months.

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 8 is also nearing public beta. Lets hope they can keep up with the new kid on the block!
