Design Museum – Nzime and Airside

airside talk

Popped down to the Design Museum to sit in on the Super Contemporary season of talks, this one was hosted by London design agency Airside. They showed a fantastic range of work and were describing how the last 6 months have been like no other with clients scimping where they can and thus causing them to pick up smaller projects, some nice creative projects and some projects were just to pay the bills. It was well worth the visit and to get an in depth look at their approach.

Next up is the Neville Brody talk in September, I have seen him talk before and he is very rich in knowledge when it comes to the history and the ever changing climate of design trends.

If you are down in London I would recommend checking out the gallery floors at the minute also, both floors are fantastic.

Too late for a third Cannonball Run?

Seems the cast are slowly dissapearing, shame that Captain Chaos is no longer with us. (Dom DeLuise)

Purple Circle and Nzime Picnic

Our friends at Purple Circle popped round for a chat/a picnic lunch even if the weather has turned rubbish today. Was nice to meet the team and discuss prospects over an egg and cress sandwich.

Woolpack Lane Safari Park

black-animal

During our usual Studio closing for the evening we spotted some movement around the back of the local greasy lunch spot bin’s. Forty minutes and several cups of tea/nailbiting later we were fortunate enough to watch the experts from the RSPCA in action as they calmly approached the situation on Woolpack Lane. The black cat was darted and taken to the woodside animal centre in leicestershire, where further investigation was to take place as to how it exactly ended up in there. Not exactly your average day in Nottingham.

Congrat’s to the boys at Scene photography, Rob & Chris, for a fantastic exhibition/turnout at last nights opening night at the Waterstones View from the Top gallery in Notts. If you are in the area it is definately worth checking out Nottingham by Night before it ends on Sunday.
